Joint congress of the European Economic Association and the Econometric Society European meeting (EEA-ESEM) in Barcelona, Catalonia , Spain, 23 - 27 August 2009.

Complete submissions must be received by February 15, 2009.Decisions on submissions will be made by April 15, 2009.

Accepted papers will only be included in the final programme if presenting authors have registered by May 15, 2009.

Postdoctoral research fellowship at PSE

The Paris School of Economics offers a full-time fellowship research post-doctoral appointment, starting date of September 1st 2009, for a fixed-term period of 12 months.

The fellow will participate in a research project on “FDI in services” writing one paper fitting within the global project, and targeted for publication in leading journals of the field. Farid Toubal and Lionel Fontagné are the researchers in charge of the supervision of the post-doctoral fellow.

Applicants should send their application packages, preferably via email as .pdf attachments, to toubal@univ-paris1.fr.

The application package consists of (1) CV, (2) a short description of current and future research , (3) at least two research papers, and (4) a letter of application, and (5) three letters of reference.

The deadline is Mai 31st, 2009.

Submissions are solicited both for the meeting’s thematic sessionson

GLOBALIZATION: PATTERNS AND CHALLENGES

and for the meeting’s general sessions (on any topic relevant to the SSES) where submissions across a wide range of topics in Economics, Finance and Econometrics are welcome.

Authors must submit full versions of papers by February 15, 2009via the conference website: http://www.sgvs.ch/congress09/. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by email from March 15, 2009.

A selection of contributions to the thematic part will be published in the Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics.
